Railroad car builder CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles has purchased the 40-acre site on Page Boulevard where it will build new subway cars for the MBTA.
The purchase price was $12 million, and CNR expects to begin construction of its $60 million railroad car factory in the spring of 2016.
